Mexican Skirt Steak

Marinated in lime, olive oil, and Maggie Loves Tacos blend, this skirt steak crisps up fast in a hot skillet and slices into tender, smoky strips that belong in every taco, salad, and sandwich you can think of.

Ingredients:
3 lbs (1.5 kilo) skirt steak
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 limes, halved and juiced
4 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
6 Tbsp Maggie Loves Tacos Blend

Cooking steps

Step 1
Cut skirt steak into 6" pieces. Soak for 30 minutes in a bowl filled with cold water and vinegar. Drain, then pat dry well.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix lime juice, oil, and spice blend. Rub all over the skirt steak. Marinate for 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
Step 3
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 Tbsp oil. Place a few pieces of steak into the pan.
Step 4
Cook for 4 minutes on the first side, flip, and cook another 3 minutes.
Step 5
Remove and rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Step 6
Serve hot in hard or soft taco shells, or add to a salad or sandwich. Enjoy!
